Gang Yang won Taft Dissertation Fellowship AY20-21!
Gang Yang, a fourth-year PhD student in Statistics, has been selected as the recipient of the Taft Dissertation Fellowship this year. This fellowship from the UC Taft Research Center is awarded annually to a PhD student in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Gang will be supported by this fellowship AY2020-2021 to work on his dissertation.

Kang receives Early Investigator Award in 2019!
Dr. Emily L. Kang has been selected to receive 2019 ENVR Early Investigator Award, presented by the American Statistical Association Section on Statistics and the Environment (ENVR). This award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the development of methods, issues, concepts, applications and initiatives in environmental statistics. Kang will be presented with the award July 29 as part of the Joint Statistical Meetings 2019 in Denver.
